Dear visitor to knsk.pl,

You may be wondering about the maritime themes on our website. Indeed, it may seem that law has little to do with sailing.

And yet they are more similar than it would appear, for the art of practising law and the art of sailing have a lot in common. They both involve the ability to navigate around reefs, including reefs of legal ignorance, and the ability to predict the weather.... as well as to predict the consequences of certain legal actions. Both require an aptitude for using certain instruments – compasses and sextants, on the one hand, and codes and case law, on the other. And also they usually have a measurable goal to attain – to reach the port safely, or to solve a case efficiently.

We are happy to have been able over the years to act like a lighthouse for our Customers, guiding them towards their goals. Undeterred by the rough seas of ever-changing legislation, rowing against the gusty winds of inconsistent case law, we stand committed to continuing our service.

What about the Customers? Customers are plenty, and the vast majority of them are satisfied with our service. How do we know? Well, not only do they come back to us, but they also recommend our service to others. It is probably because of our philosophy.

We are no longer aiming for more Customers. We realise that probably we are not, and will not be, the best match for each and every Customer.

Karol Kafka

Karol graduated in law from the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2002. In 2004 he graduated from the Tax Law School at the University of Wrocław's Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. After successfully completing judicial training in 2010, he was entered on the advocate list of the Bielsko-Biała Bar Association.

Piotr

Piotr Nikończuk

Piotr graduated in law from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. During his time at the university, he was learning the practical aspects of labour law as a legal assistant to the Regional Board of Poland's largest trade union. In the meantime, he wrote and defended his Master’s thesis on “The Banking System of the United States”.

Krzysztof

Krzysztof Szczygieł

Krzysztof graduated in law from the University of Wrocław and in administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Practising law at his legal advisory office since 2002, Krzysztof has been involved in an array of projects, helping to draft all kinds of contracts, letters, petitions, pleadings and legal opinions...

Marcin

Marcin Buczma

Marcin graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. In 2011 he completed his legal advisory training under the Regional Association of Legal Advisers in Lublin and acquired the license to practice as a legal adviser. When he started practising as a lawyer, Marcin focused on providing legal advice for businesses with different capital structures.

Karolina

Karolina Kusz

Karolina graduated in law from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. She also studied at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, an experience that gave her a solid grounding in legal English, in which she is now fluent.

Katarzyna

dr Katarzyna Hanas

Kasia graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Alongside her law degree, earned upon defending her Master’s thesis entitled “Family mediation in the Polish legal system”, she earned the Rector's special recognition diploma for outstanding academic performance. Katarzyna has been practising as a legal adviser since 2019.

Przemek Kawalec

Przemysław is a law graduate. During his time at the university, he was active in the Trade Committee of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland (PSRP) Non-Public Universities Forum. Furthermore, he was a long-standing Chairman of the University Student-Government Council, a University Senator, a Member of the Council of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences..

Witold

Witold Kłusek

Witold graduated in law from the Department of Criminology at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He wrote his Master’s thesis on the subject of “Journalistic Provocation”. After completing his university education and a nine-month internship at the Czechowice-Dziedzice Municipal Office, he decided to enter advocate training.

Wojciech

Wojciech Oświecimski

Wojtek graduated in law from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, defending his financial-law Master's thesis entitled “The legal aspects of financing a public–private partnership – selected issues”. He has been with our firm since 2019.
