dr Katarzyna Hanas

Kasia graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Alongside her law degree, earned upon defending her Master’s thesis entitled “Family mediation in the Polish legal system”, she earned the Rector's special recognition diploma for outstanding academic performance. Katarzyna has been practising as a legal adviser since 2019. She completed her legal advisory training at the Regional Association of Legal Advisers in Lublin. In 2020 she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “The normative construct of ‘the good of the child’ and its judicial application” with honours. Katarzyna’s research focuses on the processes involved in making and applying the law. She loves working with students. Her areas of professional expertise include cooperative, economic and insurance law. She honed her law skills working with a number of law firms, including ours, providing us with her committed service and experience.

Outside of work, Kasia loves to unwind in nature, always trying to top it up with a good book. She is particularly fond of exploring Polish national parks, soaking in their landscapes and learning about the variety of life in these areas, and jumps at every opportunity to do so.
